FAQ - My Video Player VP320 / VP330
I don’t know how my file is encoded. Which software can i use to know precisely which are the caracteristics of my file? (format, type, encoding, bitrate…)
If you have not any software for this, you can use MediaInfo software (http://mediaarea.net/fr/MediaInfo). This software, provided under BSD license, is free and opensource on all operating system (Windows, Mac OS X or Linux).
Which software can I use to access my player in FTP mode?
Numerous FTP software exist and certain operation systems allow you to directly access an FTP without having to add additional functions. If you don’t possess the standard software, you can use FileZilla software (https://filezilla-project.org). This software, under GPL licence is free to use whatever your operating system (Windows, Mac OS X or Linux).
I have not any software to re-encode my video file in a format compatible with my player. Which software do you recommanded?
This question is wide, because many encoding softwares exist. It would be simplistic for us to summarize all free and commercial solutions in a single reference. In a first time, refer to your owner’s manual to be aware of the formats supported by your player. If you can not find reference encoding software, you can use the Handbrake software (http://handbrake.fr/). This software, provided under GPL license, is free and opensource on all operating system (Windows, Mac OS X or Linux). It allows you to encode your video files into H.264 or H.265, in a MP4 or a MKV container.
After few time of playback in a loop of my video file, I notice a progressive lag between the audio track and the video track. Yet the encoding specifications of the file seem to be respected. How to solve this problem?
Some types of video file containers may not be properly supported by the playback in a loop of the player, and generate this issue. To ensure perfect compatibility with the playback engine of the player, please, re-encapsulate your file in a Matroska (MKV) container. You can use MKVToolNix software (https://mkvtoolnix.download/). This software, provided under GNU GPLv2 license, is free and open source on all operating system (Windows, Mac OS X or Linux).
How play a MPEG-2 video without re-encoded it into an official supported format by the player?
The player can play the video files encoded into MPEG-2 format, but the playback is jerky. To ensure smooth playback of the MPEG-2 video files, re-encapsulate your files in a Matroska (MKV) container. You can use MKVToolNix software (https://mkvtoolnix.download/). This software, provided under GNU GPLv2 license, is free and open source on all operating system (Windows, Mac OS X or Linux).
I want to use two players in « playback start synchronization » mode by connecting them only with an RJ-45 cable. How to set the players for this to work?
If you want to use « playback start synchronization » mode only between two players, using a router, a hub, or a network switch to connect to each other is not necessary. A simple RJ-45 cable is enough. But, the static IP configuration of the network of each player must be correctly done in order to ensure the proper functioning with a direct link usage. Here an example of a possible configuration:
- Player 1:
- IP Address:
192.168.0.1
- Gateway:
192.168.0.254
- Network prefix length:
24
- DNS1:
8.8.8.8
- DNS2:
8.8.4.4
- IP Address:
- Player 2:
- IP Address:
192.168.0.2
- Gateway:
192.168.0.254
- Network prefix length:

8.8.8.8
- DNS2:

I have properly named
000
the autoplay folder, but the player reads the folder just one time, what is the problem?By default, the folders are not played in loop. The condition to play a folder in loop depend to the add of a specific parameter in the name of the folder. This parameter is a jump function, done when the folder is fully played. To play your folder in loop, please, rename the autoplay folder from
000
to000 [J000]
. For more informations on the folders parameters, please, refer to your owner’s manual.I have created a text file
serial.txt
as specified into the manual, but the player does not include instructions that i put in the configuration file. Why?Make sure that the
serial.txt
file is generate with a basic text editor like the Notepad of Microsoft Windows. Otherwise, your text editor needs to create a ANSI file, 100% ASCII.DOC
,RTF
,UTF-8
,UTF16
,UNICODE
or other format of text file are exclude.
