Installation
The logic and functionality of the player are defined with an internal program called firmware. This program may evolve to bring new features, to change the behavior of the player, or to fix issues. The firmware can be updated or replaced by following these instructions:
- Download the firmware from the
Support
page of the player on our web site.
- Unzip the downloaded ZIP file.
- Copy the unzipped file
ap4xx-update.swu
at the root of a formatted in FAT32 or exFAT USB flash drive.
- Eject the USB flash drive with the ejection process of your operating system.
- Insert the USB flash drive into an available USB port of the player.
- Connect to the web administration of the player and go to the section
System
of the main settings page.
- Start the firmware update by click on the
Update
button. Do not remove the USB flash drive or do not turn off the player until the operation is completed. Wait until the player reboots completely.
- When the player is fully rebooted, the firmware installation is finished and the USB flash drive can be removed.
The installed firmware version can be checked into the About
page of the player’s web administration.
